Curry Mee (咖喱面) is another mouth-watering Ipoh cuisines.
Xin Quan Fang Curry Mee is located as the same row of shops as the 'Famous Mee Hakka' at the 'Hugh Low Street' (休罗街).
The Curry Mee is simply not just spicy but with enrich taste of curry. The fresh meats are taken together with the sauce, causes the boost of taste of the meats.
Apparently after they moved from the old site (opposite the current shop), they changed their name from Quan Fang to Xin Quan Fang, which means 'New' Quan Fang.
Quan Fang's service is based on 'first come first served' concept. Which means, even you got a place to sit, you will not get your food served until the people who arrived earlier than you have theirs.
Framed newspapers
Without fail, shops that inherited from generation to generation were always discovered and introduced by the media.
The price for the Curry Mee is pretty standard in Ipoh. And that is cheap for people living in Kuala Lumpur.
Name: Restaurant Xin Quan Fang / 新泉芳 Curry Mee.
Location: Jalan Sultan Iskandar (Hugh Low Street)

How to resist...?

that bowl of over-flowing goodness is deadly. in every sense of the word.
wish they have a more spacious outlet, and friendlier staff though.
Haha, but in fact underneath the over-flowing bowl are bean sprouts.
Speaking about the staff, I find their 'First Come First Served' concept is good. Especially when some uncivilized people cut queue or something.
i went there not long ago... seriously, the staff has attitude problem!
Yummm! This place is simply legendary :-)
